Збірник наукових праць «Моделювання та інформаційні системи в економіці» визнає зростаючу роль інструментів генеративного штучного інтелекту (GenAI), таких як ChatGPT, Google Gemini або Claude, в академічних дослідженнях та наукових роботах.
Сфера застосування
Ці правила висувають вимоги лише до процесу підготовки тексту (змістовної частини) наукової статті. Вони не поширюються на застосування ШІ-інструментів для формування та формальних процедур обробки бази даних, чи виконання інших супутніх (допоміжних, таких як перевірки правопису, граматики, оформлення посилань тощо) функцій, що не стосуються змістовної, аналітичної обробки інформації, вибору й адаптації методології, формулювання результатів і висновків дослідження. Редакція збірника наукових праць «Моделювання та інформаційні системи в економіці» рекомендує авторам дотримуватися політики Elsevier щодо ШІ.
Обмеження та відповідальність авторів
Інструменти ШІ та подібні технології не можуть бути вказані як автори чи співавтори публікації і не повинні цитуватися як джерело авторства, оскільки авторство передбачає суб’єктність та усвідомлення як безпосереднього (в межах наукової роботи) контексту, так і опосередкованого (культурного, ідеологічного, світоглядного, етичного й емоційного) контексту взаємодії з редакцією.
Використання ШІ-технологій вважається допустимим лише для покращення зрозумілості, стилістики та грамотності тексту. Використання ШІ-технологій має контролюватись та надійно обмежуватись автором (авторами), які несуть кінцеву та повну відповідальність за зміст роботи.
Вимога щодо розкриття інформації. Автори зобов'язані зазначати інформацію стосовно використання штучного інтелекту та технологій з його підтримкою у процесі створення рукопису. Не допускається використання ШІ у процесі написання рукопису для: генерування тексту, даних або графічних матеріалів; прийняття рішень, які прямо впливають на результати дослідження; аналізу тексту, даних або графіки (крім технічної реалізації стандартних статистичних інструментів згідно із авторським завданням).
Якщо вигоди (створювана наукова цінність чи економія часу дослідників) від використання ШІ на думку авторів перевищують ризики для дотримання ідентичності авторства та дослідницької етики, що спонукало скористатись ШІ у такий спосіб, відповідність якого правилам та етичним принципам може викликати розумні сумніви, автори мають точно і прозоро задекларувати спосіб використання ШІ та визначити результати на які поширюється вплив його застосування у спеціальній заяві.
Заяву про використання ШІ для написання статті розміщують окремим розділом, після переліку літератури (Списку посилань).
Приклад заяви: Заява: Під час підготовки статті _____ (назва), автор(и) застосували [НАЗВА ТА ВЕРСІЯ ІНСТРУМЕНТУ/СЕРВІСУ] з метою [вказуються мотиви, цілі та завдання, поставлені ШІ, операції виконані та результати одержані ШІ].
Редакційна колегія дотримується рекомендацій COPE щодо використання штучного інтелекту в публікаціях досліджень і залишає за собою право запитувати оригінальні дані або пояснення від авторів щодо їх використання GenAI. Неправильне використання інструментів штучного інтелекту буде розглядатися як потенційне порушення дослідницької етики.
Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence
The collection of scientific papers Modelling and Information Systems in Economics recognizes the growing role of generative artificial intelligence tools (GenAI), such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Claude, in academic research and scholarly works.
Scope of Application
These rules establish requirements only for the process of preparing the text, that is, the substantive part of a scientific article. They do not apply to the use of AI tools for the formation and formal processing of databases or for performing other related auxiliary functions, such as checking spelling, grammar, formatting references, and similar tasks, which do not concern the substantive analytical processing of information, the selection and adaptation of methodology, or the formulation of research results and conclusions.
The Editorial Board of the collection of scientific papers Modelling and Information Systems in Economics recommends that authors comply with Elsevier’s policy on AI.
Restrictions and Authors’ Responsibility
AI tools and similar technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a publication and should not be cited as a source of authorship, since authorship implies agency and awareness of both the immediate context, within the framework of the scientific work, and the broader mediated context — cultural, ideological, worldview-related, ethical, and emotional — of interaction with the Editorial Board.
The use of AI technologies is considered permissible only for improving the clarity, style, and grammatical correctness of the text. The use of AI technologies must be controlled and reliably limited by the author/authors, who bear final and full responsibility for the content of the work.
Disclosure Requirement
Authors are obliged to disclose information regarding the use of artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies in the process of creating the manuscript.
The use of AI in the manuscript writing process is not permitted for:
- generating text, data, or graphic materials;
- making decisions that directly affect the results of the research;
- analyzing text, data, or graphics, except for the technical implementation of standard statistical tools according to the author’s instructions.
If, in the authors’ opinion, the benefits of using AI — such as the scientific value created or the saving of researchers’ time — outweigh the risks to the preservation of authorship identity and research ethics, and if this prompted the use of AI in a manner whose compliance with the rules and ethical principles may raise reasonable doubts, the authors must accurately and transparently declare the way in which AI was used and identify the results affected by its use in a special statement.
The statement on the use of AI in writing the article must be placed as a separate section after the list of references.
Example statement:
Statement: During the preparation of the article “_____” (title), the author/authors used [NAME AND VERSION OF THE TOOL/SERVICE] for the purpose of [the motives, objectives, and tasks assigned to the AI are specified, as well as the operations performed and the results obtained using AI].
The Editorial Board follows COPE recommendations on the use of artificial intelligence in research publications and reserves the right to request original data or explanations from authors regarding their use of GenAI. Misuse of artificial intelligence tools will be considered a potential violation of research ethics.
